The 2011 Dr. Harvey Yamamoto Award was awarded to Katie Robertson of the University of St. Louis - Missouri College of Optometry (UMSL) during our seminar in Tampa. Katie is a fourth year UMSL Optometry Student. She was thrilled to be the first AOS scholarship winner and gave a moving speech at the AOS meeting to a full house.
"Thank you very much for all that you have done to make this award possible. I am so blessed to have received this prestigious award and am truly touched that I was chosen to uphold its name. I loved being a part of the AOS annual meeting and hope to continue to be a part of it."
