Some have expressed concern about the anonymity of the organizers of this Association. The individual(s) behind this movement to reverse the AOA's misguided actions will be made known when it is most appropriate to the cause. Have some trust; This is not a knee-jerk response, and a good deal of time and planning has gone into the Association's direction and plans for how to most effectively reverse the AOA's direction. Give the Association 1-2 weeks to form its membership, grow, and become strong enough that the AOA can't turn on its PR machine to stop it, then you'll learn more. The names of the members are confidential so that nobody faces retaliation or retribution for standing up to the AOA (many that have joined already are long time AOA members), but the number of members will not be confidential and the strength is in the numbers, not the names. For now it is simply important that those who feel betrayed by the AOA know that all is not lost and the fight to protect optometry from the poor judgment of a few so-called "leaders" isn't over.
